Keep your Pet Dog Warm in the Winters

November 28th, 2009 by KittyKitty

Weather changes affect not just humans but animals too. So, it is just plain that your dog too is going to feel the change in the climate. Though all weather changes call for extra dog care, it is the winter time that needs the most attention for your lovely puppy. Biting cold could give your dog a heavy time and even make him prone to illness. Here are some tips which will help you look after your dog in winters.

The chilly breeze of winter is something which everyone wants to avoid. While the humans can wear wool, dogs have been gifted with a fur. However as deep winter sets in, this fur coat won’t be enough. This is the time when you should either keep the dog indoors or make a provision for a proper dog house. If you can arrange for the kennel to be heated, sop much the better, if not do make sure that its in good shape and isn’t in the way of breeze.

Your dog may also require protective clothing particularly if they are small or have little fur. Breeds like Chihuahuas, Whippets and Grey Hounds require more warm clothes then their more furry counterparts. In such cases, get your pet a nice warm jacket or a sweater to keep the chill out.

Dog’s paws are also to be protected from the winter. Likewise there is a possibility that the dog may slip on the snow. In order to prevent this from happening, you would need special dog boots. These small boots will come with Velcro taping and can be fastened with substantial ease. And these dog shoes are available in various color and size options.

If it’s absolutely necessary to take your dog for a stroll this season, your pet may just be at the mercy of agonizing paws. This occurs due to the fact that pets may sometimes have to walk across sidewalks and pavements which have been chemically treated to liquefy ice. These chemicals can make your dog’s feet dry, chapped and painful. The pain might also cause your pet to lick the paws which in turn could lead to gastrointestinal problems. Thus, it’s critical that you look after your pet’s paws throughout the winter season to stop any health problems.

If your dog has arthritis, you have to be particularly careful because this is the time when the problem would be at its worse. If the dog is suffering from this malady, you should not take it for walks in icy conditions. Make sure that the dog is kept in warm enough environment and remain light while you play with it.

Your dog requires care throughout the year, however, the required amount of attention and care increases significantly during the winters. By following the above tips, you will be in a position to protect and provide for your pet for any cold wave the season may throw up.

Your Loved Pets Can Achieve Wellness

November 28th, 2009 by KittyKitty

My husband says I have a regular zoo. We do have several cats and dogs; as a result I spend a great deal of time caring for their needs. There isn’t any doubt that our pets take up a lot of my time; I’m always busy with bathing, grooming, feeding, and providing medications. However, they are our family members. I am absolutely determined that we are responsible for providing our pets with the most caring environment they could want. Pet Paralysis

However, my pets are getting older, and I’m starting to become concerned about their quality of life. One of my cats has inoperable cancer, and one of my dogs is a diabetic. It can be completely heart-breaking to care for my animals that have these physical conditions. While I know that my pets aren’t going to live forever, I have committed to trying to provide them with the best life they could have. Due to my commitment, I am incredibly vigilant about making sure they have good health. Lately I have become incredibly interested in animal chiropractic services. I feel passionate about providing dog pain relief; my veterinarian discovered that several of my pets have pet arthritis.

It was a lucky turn of events when I found Veterinarian Ava Frick; she was on a show by my local news station. Ava recommends a number of cutting edge therapies for animals, including pet chiropractic services and pet underwater treadmills. I had been reading about these new animal therapies so I became intrigued; I soon went and visited her website. The website let me know about her recommended nutrional products; she believes they contribute to good feline and canine health. These products target all kinds of maladies, from animal joint pain to canine paralysis to pet pain relief. I decided to give the products a try; I was deeply impressed by Ava Frick’s experience and knowledge regarding innovative animal therapies. Pet Pain

At first I only purchased a few items; I was a little skeptical about the nutritional products. When I discovered that my cats and dogs were responding well to the new treatments, I became more experimental about my product choices. My dachshund was the recipient of several products; he was recently given the diagnosis of pet paralysis. I was absolutely astounded when I discovered that the products recommended by Ava Frick offered pet pain relief and helped my dog with her canine paralysis. I was happy that the supplements were so easy to administer; the last thing I needed was another time consuming task. I had discovered how easy it could be to actively encourage my pet’s wellness.

I am now completely devoted to Ava Frick and her practice. I deeply encourage pet owners to consider her range of recommended, quality nutritional supplements. I am determined that I am providing my pets with a better quality life. As they get older, they need additional help in the form of vitamins and minerals that just aren’t found in their food, even the premium brands. As a result of their new diet with quality supplements, my pets are living at their fullest potential. Animal Chiropractic

Are People Strange or Just Their Behaviors?

November 28th, 2009 by KittyKitty

Have you ever had the distinct notion that people really do not know what they want or even what they are looking for?  I believe this to be true because you can find someone who states that they want a solution to something. You offer them the perfect solution and yet they are not interested.

Next, you see this person get something that you know for sure is not going to help them solve the problem they stated to you.  It is really interesting.

You try to help someone and they turn down that help and go in a direction that you know will not help them.  Some people have to learn the hard way, I guess.  In fact, it seems that most people have to learn the hard way.

It is also insulting when people don’t trust you enough to take your advice. But, that is life. Everyone, is living in a world of confusion. If they knew the perfect answer for themselves, they wouldn’t be looking for any answers.

This shows how incredibly ignorant human kind is. I am not singling anyone out here. I am including myself. So do not think that I am talking directly to you.  I really mean all of us that are human.

Take the topic of gum disease for example. It is an important problem that many people have.  Yet, most people are not aware that they even have gum disease.  They will not believe you even if you tell them.

However, the statistics that dental care professionals share with us indicate that up to 80% of people have gum disease right now.  You can talk to people until you are blue in the face about this problem, but they still won’t believe they have it or that they should do anything about it.

It is kind of like bad breath. Many people have it, but they don’t seem to realize that they have it.  They get use to their own breath.

We live in a strange world.

Protecting the Planet Through Ozone Generation!…

November 26th, 2009 by KittyKitty

ozone generator

An ozone generator is a piece of equipment which generates ozone. It basically bubbles this gas into water. Ozone is active oxygen which naturally forms an area of the planet atmosphere, protecting us from harmful ultraviolet rays from the sun. However, ozone can also make a useful sanitizer for a hot tub.

It is very popular to use in spas as it also reduces the need for various other chemicals like Bromine. However, it does not eliminate the need for these chemicals entirely.

One of the advantages of having such a piece of equipment is that you can save money. This is similar to the purpose that a hydrofloss has (helping to save the on the cost over dental bills through prevention). Because it reduces the amount of chemical sanitizers that the spa requires, it means that you won’t have to buy so many expensive chemicals frequently. In fact, studies have shown that the chemical consumption can be reduced by as much as thirty-five per cent.

They also require very little electricity to run, making the drain on your electricity bill virtually negligible. An ozonator is also harmless to animals and people at least if used correctly. However, it also kills viruses which are in the water, making your bathing experience healthier and safer. The question I want to ask is, can it help with gum disease

It also has great advantages over chlorine which is traditionally used in swimming pools and spas. In fact, it purifiers the water up to three thousand times faster than the traditional chlorine method. In addition to this, the other advantages are that it has no unpleasant odor and does not irritate the eyes of skin and when it is in large quantities. However, you should never breathe it in directly is this can be dangerous

You will still need to have a hot tub filter but there will be less stress on this particular component if you have a decent ozonator to compensate. Next: Follow the link below to learn more about this topic.

Can The Statistics Motivate You?

November 26th, 2009 by KittyKitty

Many people have some form of gum disease, perhaps as many as 80% of people living on this planet. The mayo clinic states that by age 65 – 95% of people have some form of gum disease.

However, this does not have to be the case. There is nothing wrong with going to get your teeth cleaned every three months. What you do at home is far more important, however.

The reason why is because the plaque that houses the harmful bacteria builds up every day. Therefore, to effectively stop the progression of gum disease, you must disrupt this plaque every day.

The longer the plaque is left intact, the more of the ‘bad’ or anaerobic bacteria will grow. The more they grow – the more toxic waste products they dump onto your teeth and gums.

These waste products can contribute to both cavities and gum disease. If brushing and flossing alone were effective then it stands to reason that up to 80% of the population would NOT have some form of gum disease.

Therefore, it also stands to reason that you need more than just brushing, flossing and using a mouth rinse to prevent the progression of this disease to more serious forms.

The anaerobic bacteria that cause these problems do not like oxygen – therefore use an oxygenated mouthwash. The products of therabreath may be helpful here.

The anaerobic bacteria do like an acidic mouth – as is created by eating acidic foods and not taking steps to adjust your mouth pH afterwards. A pH balanced mouthwash will help with this as will chewing xylitol gum.

There are many additional things you can do to aid your dental health, such as oramd. Your dentist is correct, many much more serious disease have been linked to periodontal disease.

Even ancient civilizations recognized that the health of the mouth reflected the health of the body! Most people want to look at a horse’s teeth before buying him.You can stop the progression of this disease by taking the right actions and by educating yourself about what else you can do besides regular brushing and flossing. At the early stages you can have a very, very good chance of preventing things from progressing to a more advanced stage.

Educate yourself and you can have health gums and teeth for a lifetime!

How To Woo Her Back – With Some Super Sneaky Psychological Tactics

November 26th, 2009 by KittyKitty

Just split up? Like to know how to win her back? I think your best bet is to stop any contact with your ex. It sounds stupid I know. But it really does get results.

I reckon I’m right in thinking the break up has hit you bad. Chances are you are on an emotional roller coaster. Cutting off contact with your ex will help you in more than one way.

First things first, you get to have some important healing time. A chance to heal those tattered emotions. It’s very important to both your wellbeing and also vital to the plan to win her back.

An emotionally fragile state of mind will scupper any chance you have of winning her back. It’s important to be in control. Any difficult situation can be overcome when you are in total control. Your ex may be shocked at just how maturely and confident you are handling things.

The second good thing about having zero contact is that she will most definitely notice you are not there. It may have been her that ended things. So why would she miss you at all you probably ask. You were a constant in your ex’s life for a while. Not being there now will force her to wonder about you.

If she notices you are not around you are at least in your ex’s thoughts. It benefits you to be in their thoughts just a little, rather than not at all. If you’re constantly in your ex’s face she will definitely think bad thoughts. Not being in her face gives her chance to remember good things about your relationship.

Ok I’ll cut contact, but for how long? That’s a very good question and it will differ for all situations. Not more than three or four weeks though, you don’t want her moving on.

What do you do next then to win her back, after you get your head into shape? Another good question, and one I would answer with … Time to get a plan! A plan that has easy to follow instructions from start to finish.

You can go one of two ways. Do it all yourself with your own techniques. I wish you luck if you try it this way. Or go with a successful system put together by someone else.

It’s hard to believe but there are a few systems like that on the net. Methods that work, have worked and will work again. Systems that are complete step by step blueprints.

I was very skeptical when I first saw a system like this. But, I was quite surprised to have my mind quickly changed. The top selling system has already managed to reunite over six thousand couples from around the globe. This can’t be by chance alone!

You have a choice now, go for it yourself and use your own skills. Or borrow the experience of other people who have been there, done it & written the book! I don’t know about you but I know I’m taking the second route.

Three Secrets to Preventing Costly Dental Work and Bills…

November 26th, 2009 by KittyKitty

gum disease

Protecting your dental health is more important now than ever. With the unemployment rate so high, many people may no longer have access to the great health benefits they once had. So, now people need to be very careful to avoid the need for expensive dental work.

Cavities, root canals, ‘deep’ cleanings and other treatments can be very expensive if you have to pay ‘out of pocket’. Of course, if you need to go and get this done, you may not have much choice. I like a particular dental irrigator for oral health although it may not address the above mentioned problems.

However, maybe you can prevent these problems. Or at least, you may be able to give yourself a better chance at doing so.

You have probably heard many people talk about the fact that you shouldn’t drink so many soft drinks, energy drinks and sugary foods. But has anyone ever told you why? There are some pH balanced mouthwashes at therabreath .

The problem is the acidic nature of these drinks and foods. In the case of sugar, it can spur the rapid proliferation of bacteria which then secrete increased amounts of acid and waste on your gums and teeth. You can see how these problems can compound when you drink a lot of sugary, acidic drinks.

So, while reducing your intake of these kinds of foods can help, let’s look at it from the other side of the coin. If acidic foods and drinks can harm your dental health, what can help it?

In chemistry, the opposite of an acid would be a base. There are mouthwashes and even chewing gums that have the power to help you balance the pH in your mouth, making it more basic. Products like Oramd may have essential oils in them, remember to rebalance your mouth pH after using any products.

Have You Been Diagnosed With Periodontal Disease?

November 26th, 2009 by KittyKitty

gum disease

The truth is, according to statistics, the vast majority of people will develop some form of periodontal disease in their lifetimes. Therefore, knowing the risk factors can help, but will not solve this rampant problem. What you eat may be one of these factors, if your diet is full of sugar that can feed bacteria, you may be at greater risk.

You can still help your teeth by brushing on a regular basis, flossing, and going to the dentist – but is there more you should be doing?   People who have braces will have a much tougher time of getting the plaque off their teeth. This will make it more difficult to combat gum disease. However, brushing and flossing alone aren’t going to be enough for most people, you may need to do even more. Using a Hydro Floss may be helpful too.

There are a few medical conditions that may add to your chances of getting gum disease, one is diabetes. Not only does your diet affect your chances of getting periodontal disease, but if you are too stressed and get little sleep that may also affect you. Using an essential blend, like Oramd might be helpful.

It seems that girls are at risk of getting gum disease more so than boys are. That’s just because of the hormones that are in their body. Tobacco has to be one of the largest causes of gum disease, without smoking or chewing tobacco the plaque wouldn’t grow as quickly. An oxygenized, pH balanced mouthwash like therabreath may also help you.

There have been studies that have been done showing that some ethnic groups are at a higher risk than other ethnicities when it comes to contracting gum disease. What you do at home is probably more important than one gets done at the dentist’s office – you need both, but you have to be proactive at home.

Working hard at home can be the difference between whether you end up needing expensive periodontal treatments or not. Work hard at keeping your mouth healthy, your overall health will very much appreciate it. Again, more than just brushing and flossing are often necessary.
